I stopped at a flea market and came across this Game Boy Color. What stood out to me was the white shell, as Nintendo never made one in a white shell. Furthermore as soon as I touched it, I noticed the shell has a super smooth finish. I could also tell the screen lens has been replaced, as it felt light glass and had a slightly different color in the Game Boy Color logo than the original plastic lens.

The seller was advertising the Game Boy Color as not working and was asking $50.00 for it. I decided to purchase it as I thought it might make for an interesting video.

Upon getting it back to my repair bench, I immediately tossed 2 AA batteries into it and pushed the power switch. The unit powered on and displayed the Nintendo Logo....



To my surprise the Game Boy Logo was very bright,   indicating a backlit screen had been installed in this Game Boy Color.
